Keep your account safe
A few simple habits protect your EventWiz account.
Use a long passphrase
Use three or four unrelated words together. A long password is harder to guess than a short, complicated one.
Never reuse a password
Use a password you use nowhere else. If another site is hacked, your EventWiz account stays safe.
A password manager helps
It creates and remembers a different password for every site.
Two-step sign-in
Every EventWiz account signs in with two steps: your password, then a 6-digit code we email you. Someone who learns your password still can't get in without your email.
For extra safety, use an authenticator app on your phone instead of the emailed code: someone who gets into your email still can't sign in.
Choose how you get your code in Settings, under Security. Settings

Why do I need two-step sign-in to post photos?
A photo wall belongs to the event's hosts and their guests, and only guests on the hosts' guest list can post to it.
Two-step sign-in means nobody can use your account to post as you, even if they learn your password, and every photo is linked to the person who posted it, so the hosts can act quickly if something inappropriate appears.
It takes a minute: we email you a 6-digit code to type in.
What EventWiz will never ask you for
- Your password, by email, phone or message.
- A sign-in code. Never share one with anyone, even someone who says they work for EventWiz.
Signs of a fake EventWiz email
- It asks for your password or a code.
- It tells you to act fast, or warns that your account will close.
- Our emails come from addresses ending in @eventwiz.ai. A fake can copy this, so check the other signs too.
- Not sure? Don’t press the link. Go to eventwiz.ai yourself and sign in there.

How we estimate the time to guess
We check your password against lists of leaked and common passwords and familiar patterns, then estimate how long one fast computer would take to guess it.
The time is an estimate based on how attackers usually guess passwords. It does not guarantee an account cannot be broken into.
