EventWiz collects the following types of information to facilitate event planning and vendor-customer connections:
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, professional profile details (for Vendors), and account preferences
- Transaction Data: Booking details, payment amounts, service dates, and communication history
- Usage Data: IP addresses, browser type, device information, pages visited, and features used
- Location Data: General geographic location for service matching (with your consent)
- Customer Support: Any information you provide when contacting our support team
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to:
- Create and manage your EventWiz account
- Facilitate connections and transactions between Vendors and Customers
- Process payments and coordinate service bookings
- Communicate important updates, confirmations, and platform notifications
- Improve platform features, security, and user experience
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
- Prevent fraud and unauthorized activity
3. Data Storage & Security
EventWiz stores your data on secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption (AES-256 for data at rest, TLS 1.3 for data in transit). Your information is retained:
- For the duration of your active account plus 24 months after inactivity
- Transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations
- Communications and support tickets are retained for 36 months
You may request account deletion at any time by contacting hello@eventwiz.ai. Upon deletion, personal data is removed within 90 days, with the exception of transaction records required by law.
4. Information Sharing
EventWiz shares your information only in the following circumstances:
- Between Vendors and Customers: When you book or provide a service, relevant contact and transaction details are shared to fulfill the booking
- Service Providers: Trusted third parties that help us operate (payment processors, hosting, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements
- Legal Compliance: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of EventWiz and our users
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to affected users)
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Your Rights & Choices (Australian Privacy Act 1988)
EventWiz complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
- Make a complaint about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
To exercise these rights, submit a request at hello@eventwiz.ai or through your account settings. We will respond within a reasonable period (usually 30 days).
6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
EventWiz uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you logged in and maintain session security

- Analyze platform usage and improve performance
- Prevent fraud and abuse
You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling essential cookies may impact platform functionality.
7. Children's Privacy
EventWiz is not intended for individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover such data, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided us with information should contact hello@eventwiz.ai.
8. Data Storage and International Transfers
EventWiz operates from Australia. Your information is primarily stored on servers located in Australia. Some data may be transferred to and processed in countries with comparable privacy protections, including New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. When transferring personal information outside Australia, we comply with Australian Privacy Principle 8 and ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
9. Data Breach Notification
In the event of an eligible data breach under the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme (Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988), EventWiz will promptly assess the breach and notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by law.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be notified via email (to the address associated with your account) and platform notification at least 30 days in advance. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when changes become effective.
11. Complaints and Contact Us
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
