Photo and Upload Policy

Version 1.0 · Last updated 10 October 2026

In short

  • The host decides who can see an event’s photo wall. If they have not decided, it is private.
  • EventWiz does not use face recognition.
  • Post only photos you have the right to share. Anyone can ask for a photo of them to come down.

1. What this policy covers

Photos and videos guests post to an event’s photo wall, photo booth pictures, photos hosts add to their events and invitations, venue and vendor photos, files attached to messages, and photos used with AI features. It is part of our Terms of Use.

2. The photo wall

  • The photo wall is part of an event’s website. The host chooses whether it is public or private; until the host chooses, it is private.
  • To post to a wall you need an EventWiz account with two-step sign-in, so that every photo comes from a real, accountable person.
  • Photos appear on the wall when they are posted; there is no approval step. A photo can be flagged, and the host looks at flagged photos and can take them down.
  • Photos on a wall are shown through links that stop working after a while, so a copied link does not keep working forever.

3. The photo booth

Anyone at the event can use the photo booth and save or share their own pictures without an account. Posting a booth picture to the wall needs an account, like any other post.

4. Post only what you have the right to share

  • Post your own photos, or photos you have permission to share.
  • Think about the people in them. Do not post a photo a person would reasonably object to, and post photos of children only with their parent’s or guardian’s agreement.
  • Nothing sexual, violent, hateful or unlawful.

5. No face recognition

EventWiz does not use face recognition and does not scan photos to work out who is in them. Try-on finds the outline and pose of a body in a photo, inside your browser, so a garment can be fitted; it does not identify anyone.

6. AI features and photos

When you use a photo with an AI feature — try-on or room styling, for example — it is sent to EventWiz’s own AI service to make the result, and both are kept in your account until you delete them.

We do not use your photos to train AI. The one exception is try-on training: a vendor can photograph a model wearing its garments to teach try-on how a garment looks, and those photos are used for training only when the person photographed has agreed.

7. Who owns your photos

You keep ownership of your photos. You give EventWiz permission to store them and show them to the people the host, or you, lets see them, for as long as they are on EventWiz.

8. Taking a photo down

  • You can take down your own posts at any time.
  • The host can take down any photo on their event’s wall.
  • Deleting your EventWiz account deletes the photos you uploaded. If instead you use the link in our emails to take your address off every guest list, the photos you posted stay on the event’s wall, shown as from a deleted guest; delete them first if you want them gone.
  • If a photo of you is on EventWiz and you want it taken down, ask the host, or email hello@eventwiz.ai and we will look at it.
